How dare you call Floyd "little" and "old." Revoke your Floyd fan license right now. Hand it over. Floyd is a giant who towers over that small Asian midget Pacquiao. You should know this.

you still don't get it do you?

i say don't malign our idol Floyd boxing IQ.

why do you think our idol Floyd fought all those big, heavy, tall, hungry, young undefeated lions?

because our idol Floyd was preparing for the biggest heaviest tallest hungriest i mean starving youngest five losses, one dimensional, make too much mistakes with lots of tax problem lion named Pac.

he wants to go down to 147 because he wants to chase the floyd rematch. floyd didn't gave him rematch at 154 and going back to 147. that is the money fight specially after breaking the ppv records.

so bad pac didn't read the script and spoil the party..

Manny had never and will never fight in the 154 division

What he did was equivalent to floyd fighting GGG at 158....

Let me guess, " it's different" right???

Manny was fighting way above his natural weight.

And like someone else mentioned, manny was coming up a lot, all he asked DLH was to meet him halfway... Please don't say you would expect manny to fight DLH at 154... Please tell me you're not that much a brute

It beautiful what he did to fight the toughest competition...

Some people just don't get it...

But let's not let facts get in the way of rewriting History.

How long had it been since Manny... oh wait.
It's much easier to move up in weight rather than move down in weight, especially late in a fighter's career.

You idiots know that it was Oscar's idea to go down 147 right?

He was supposed to fight Cotto at 147, but Cotto ate plaster vs Marg, and so they presented Pacquiao (a 130 pounder at the time) instead.

You guys don't remember this at all? You guys don't remember how everyone was saying that Oscar would KO Cotto and Pac at 147? And how the Pacquiao fight would just be a publicity stunt because Pacquiao is way too small???

But to answer the question, NO, 147 is not a catchweight because its the official weight limit for WW.
Pacquiao vs Cotto/Marg and Floyd vs Canelo/JMM were catchweights.
