In this generation of boxing with so much ducking and cherry-picking going on, it's good to see there is still a ring warrior like Tony Thompson who is always willing to take on anybody, anywhere, anytime.

TT is absolutely my favourite US HW, earned me some money three times already, willing to fight any top HW and gives great interviews. If he can´t get Wilder I´d like to see Thompson vs Parker, just to see if Parker really is any good (and I think he is).

How can anyone not like Tony Thompson. He's hilarious and would fight anyone. I'd love to see a fight between him and Joshua at a later date. Thompson is a good test to see if you are a legit HW or just a hype job.

I believe Joshua is a better boxer than Price even though I am not sure he can get past the gate keeper Thompson.

There is a very good chance that Tony Thompson could still beat Wilder.

            I'll back Thompson.

It's not clear at all that Wilder is the best American HW.

He beat 2 good fighters, Malik Scott, who isn't at Thompson's level, and Bermane Stiverne, whom would not be able to outbox Thompson and showed up very sick against Wilder anyhow!

            Not very convincing yet.

            Thompson UD Wilder

Wilder puts him to sleep faster than Klitschko did, make it happen.

We're talking about the guy who managed to breach the Klitschko defences, one of his best opponents.

We're talking about the guy who ended the career of another young hype job in Price with similar qualities.

We're talking about the guy who pushed Kubrat Pulev in a close fight.

And we're not talking about a shortass disease stricken boxer who throws 1 punch a round. We're talking about a 6'5" 250lb seasoned veteran with a top level record.

Somehow I don't think that's going to happen.

We're talking about a guy that would get KTFO by Wilder, get some points and i'll make a bet on it.

Nice one.. I'm not THAT sure about Thompson beating Wilder, he DOES have some nice qualities also.

But I certainly wouldn't be putting as much stock in him as you do.

As for these points, I dunno how to get them, what they are or even how to bet them. But I'd lay a small sum for Thompson as a gesture.

Wilder would really legitimize his status as champion by fighting Thompson, but he will probably pick a guy with no chance whatsoever like Eric Molina or something.
