Canelo seems the most inevitable since he can't really make 154 anymore and is between divisions. Stylistically I'd love to see that fight. Talk about "Mexican style".

They would probably have an easier time negotiating with each other than either one would have with Cotto/Floyd as well.

GGG doesn't want to stay at 154 but for the right fight he makes the weight. Whether he'd be weight drained or not, that's impossible for us to know but GGG believes he can do it with ease and that's the only thing that matters.

GGG would destroy Floyd at 154, it wouldn't even be close to a fair fight and would be more like a beat down in the street. There is no real reason for that to happen. And this is coming from a huge GGG fan and someone who has zero love or respect for Mayweather. I think such a fight would be totally pointless, would add nothing to GGG's resume or eventual legacy and would be solely for the payday.

why he doesnt want 154? i mean if you look at the fighters there is no comparison between 154 and 160, money wise or skills wise.. this will be a division where he could fight 4 times a year without having to face a tomato can everytime...
ggg can believe whatever he wants but needs to prove it first, take on lara, andrade, etc... and after making noise go for a big name...

154 isn't really THAT much deeper.

Floyd is a 154 like Cotto is a 160 (not really).
Canelo can't make the weight anymore.

That leaves a batch of "pretty good" guys like Lara, Trout, Andrade. After that it falls off quickly into Cornelius Bundrage territory.

So at the rate Golovkin is fighting, he gets a year out of that division before his opposition level is lower than it is at MW. Not much reason for a permanent campaign there.

If anyone sees any real chance of Floyd giving him the fight that all changes and it's a great opportunity... But I say no way in hell.

he is more likely to find cotto, canelo and floyd at 154 than 160... even thurman or bradley could go up anytime soon...

GGG doesn't have to prove a damn thing. He's already a proven fighter. Just like he doesn't have to prove himself against some top names at SMW before taking on Ward. People want to see GGG against the very best. At 154 it would be Floyd. If he moves up to SMW Ward would be the target.

Neither side would receive full credit for the win.

I'm not a fmj fan and will like to see taste defeat for real before he retires, but not like this, it will be Napoles-monzon all over again, theres no way fraud can win that fight... He is a ww and that's where he should be fighting because he ain't growing no more...
