Why is GGG too big for Floyd?...Canelo wasn't.

Jesus this forum....
floyd has gone up 5 divisions, to the point he has no power at his current weight. GGG cant even go up 1 to find better opposition.
If Floyd were to fight a guy 2 divisions smaller the chaos that would ensue here.
But hey, maybe if he can fight GGG and beat him, why not Kovalev?
Floyd be ducking kovalev. Floyd is all hype. He is afraid to be exposedComment

As regards Floyd "being a small welter", whilst he isn't actually "small" at the weight he isn't a "big welter" in terms of how much weight he cuts or what weight he rehydates to for fight time. I'm sure that he could have continued to make 140lb for much longer than he fought at that weight.Comment

People are ****ing losing their **** over Floyd. It's actually disturbing how freaked out and dumb most people get on here because of one fighter. Absolutely pathetic.
Comes up from 130, fights a bunch of naturally bigger jr welters, welters, and super welterweights all of whom are easily bigger and outweigh him significantly...."duuuuuurrrrrrr, Floyd just a coward who never face anyone his own size! duurrrr! **** that ***"
Goddamn ******.Comment

I get it. Do you not get the crying about Canelo being "drained" over 2 lbs after he stated himself he'd fight Floyd at a weight as low as 150, iirc?
The backlash over that would pale in comparison to GGG going down an entire weight class, whether he's close to being the same size as the ginger or not. Or are you telling me you'd give Floyd full credit for fighting A MW at 154 whether ggg looked off and not himself in this hypothetical matchup?
I'm saying this... If ggg can prove he cane make 154 without any issues, cool. But show us. Fight a couple guys. Let the detractors not have any excuse and then get this potential super fight goingComment

nice
WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs) is willing to drop a few pounds to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs). Mayweather i
"It's what I want, the Mayweather fight. That's what we put on the table. I feel more mature and for that I am willing to go down to 150 pounds," said Canelo to Sal Rodriguez.

I see that, but I don't understand why they wouldn't want that to help avoid any or every 48 excuses. I'm not parading that Floyd wouldn't fight him due to his size whatsoever. Just prove to us that you indeed have no issues making 154.Comment

I've been saying this for months. If you can make 154 fine like your team is claiming, then why not do it and really put pressure on Floyd?Comment

I'd give Floyd all the credit in the world if he fought GGG at 154. I don't care about the backlash. Floyd is hated by many so of course those guys wouldn't give him any credit even if GGG proves himself and look strong and healthy. GGG wants the fight cause it's his dream fight. Personally I love to see it happen but I'm pretty sure Floyd will never entertain this idea.
Its embarrassing pulling up a quote from 2011. Here's what he was saying in 2013, when they were trying to make the fight
"Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez: Floyd Mayweather must face me at 154 pounds, I can't go lower"

But I guess I embarrassed myself for simply showing proof of Canelo being ****** enough to go on record and say he'd drop to 150 & Floyd taking advantage of thatLast edited by hhs661; 05-17-2015, 07:59 PM.Comment
