There's a skill and size disparity between Brook and Maidana which imo would be too much for the latter to bridge, I could even see Maidana being stopped from R.10-12.
and brook is not a big ww?

    maidana>>>>jones in skills & everything

brook is fundamentally sound but maidana >>>>>> brook on the inside. could brook keep his distance for all 12? hmmn, the best boxer in the world could not, but brook can? that's just silly

    durability favors chino as well

He is, that was the point I was making, in Jones he was fighting a bigger guy like himself.

Brook would just hold him on the inside like Floyd did in the rematch. Brook's big enough to wrap him up, even Alexander was big enough.

We talk a lot about Maidana-Floyd but how many rounds did he win in the rematch when Floyd tied him up on the inside?

can't see porter beating maidana right now with his style and limited boxing ability. he likely jumps into something big and gets KTFO'd silly.

as for brook, we know he's capable of spoiling a fight and stinking out a joint ("get the w now look good later doe" GTFOH) so this matchup may turn into a replay of the alexander-maidana or the mayweather rematch. OR i suspect maidana might be a step above brook and just demolishes him in a tough fought battle.

Strongly favour Brook, Madonna would have a lot more respect for his power than he did of Broner and Floyd but I can certainly see Madonna landing that big overhand right at some point and getting into the fight.

The overhand right is the only thing that makes me a little uncomfortable picking Brook to stuff him. He is often open for that shot and its Madonna's bread and butter.

maidana aint a small ww either, esp sotto karass and we know how that fight ended up

I guess this is gonna depend on who refs this fight but then again even during a clinch maidana is rough and can get his shots in and brook aint exacly a defensive genius. the maidana that alexander beat is primitive compared to the one Floyd beat..
