Comments Thread For: Brook Eyes Unification With Mayweather-Pacquiao Winner

Sheffield’s Kell Brook, 33-0 (22) returns to the ring in front of his Sheffield fans tomorrow night to deal with mandatory challenger Jo Jo Dan, 34-2 (18). It is Brook’s first fight since a machete attack left him with a serious leg injury, but the IBF welterweight title-holder is confident of victory at his home city's Motorpoint Arena and has called for a unification fight with the winner of Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao, who meet in Las Vegas on May 2.

Makes sense, bUT I'm not sure there would be enough hype for that fight for the winner of may/pac to fight him. A win over porter and jo jo dan is not enough imo. Would be great fights non the less.

And what exactly has he done beside beat Porter? GTFO

He needs to earn his shot. All hes done is just won a title last summer and is now defending against a mandatory bum. Let him fight Thurman, Guerrero, Khan, etc

It is good to have dreams, but unless he can beat Khan he has little chance.

Brook is the man 147 after May-Pac get there old butts out of the drivers seat........I think Brook beats One-Time Keith Thurman and Khan, those 2 are the Top Welterweights along with Brook. Its between those 3 but I believe Brook to be better than both.

Khan should've taken the fight when the May-Pac negotiations were starting to look strong. If he beats Brook, he definitely gets that winner, but Brook has a lot to do before it is a definite that he gets it. No one has a reason to know Brook, but Khan has a name. And as far a a farewell fight for Mayweather goes, Brook isn't it, but Khan could be.

Yeah I agree. Knocking off Shawn Porter was nice, but he needs to get with Thurman or Khan first.
