You don't even believe that. Cotto would have fought everybody at welter as history has already proven.

You wanna try and paint Cotto a coward for playing with your emotions and forcing you to post 24/7 about why you are so impatient and miserable? Be his guest. But you KNOW better than to think a fellow 147lb SRL would put fear in Cotto's heart.

As for the MW championship, Cotto knew Martinez was losing ground when he saw the Murray fight. I guarantee Cotto didn't want the version of Martinez up to and including the Chavez, JR fight (barring the knock down, which caused his knee injury).

Just admit that Cotto is being careful in not choosing a bonafide, dangerous MW, because he knows he's too small, & will likely lose. It's ok.
He took Martinez over Canelo for legacy, a fight he was a 3-1 underdog with. Only a pu$$y would do that though...

Canelo is the one who stopped negotiating the second time, how is that on Cotto? It's good to know you think that Canelo, who is campaigning at MW, fighting his 3RD JMW in a row is not a *****. But Cotto, who actually beat the lineal MW champion in his only fight at MW is the pu$$y. Cotto has actually fought a MW ffs... There is no need to defend or prove anything to true dumbasses like yourself.

I never called Cotto a pu$$y, you did! Posters like you are so transparent. I must have hit a nerve, hence your resorting to name-calling. You can't even have an intelligent debate without resorting to juvenile reactions, when a valid point is made against your hero. No doubt, Canelo is fighting well beneath his natural weight class & I don't defend him. I'm talking about the negotiations between him and Cotto, though. Cotto was hoping for a rematch with Mayweather, if the Pacquiao fight fell through. That's one reason he turned down Canelo's offer. And that's why he waited until the last minute to do it. I don't really hold that against him. But I do feel that his declaration that no sanctioning body will control his career, is a direct excuse as to why he won't fight GGG. Who by the way, is his mandatory MW challenger.

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya is finishing up the final touches on the junior middleweight fight between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and James Kirk
