a good example of this is if the round is too close to call and could go either way, give it to Floyd every time all the time.

if there are 12 rounds of this so called close rounds, then Floyd wins it via 12 - 0 shut out.

generally termed by the Floyd fans as a.ss whooping or schooling

close my eyes, increase the volume and listen to commentators **** **** **** and Pow Pow Pow.

**** for Pac and Pow for opponent.

Count how many ****s and how many Pows are there tally it after 12 rounds.

if there are more ****s than pows then ****s win it.

Avoiding shots doesn't win rounds. Ggg can get hit 100 times in a round and only land ten but you know his are more effective. You can't control a round slipping punches.

Clean effective punching is #1 by far. Ring generalship and aggression come into play if both guys are landing evenly.

simple; whoever controls the pace/action of the round, wins the round. As a viewer, having the punch stats available simply confirms what my eyes are seeing.

as an example, the Alvarez-Lara fight, to me was a pretty easy fight to score; when Lara set his feet and dictated distance behind his straight shots, he won those moments. For the majority of the fight, however, Canelo kept the pressure on and his attack to the body seemed to immediately put Lara on his bike, allowing for Canelo to dictate the pace and flow of the fight. Think I had Canelo winning that fight 8-4.

As another example, you can look to the Oscar-Floyd fight; Most of the first four rounds were won by Oscar, mainly behind him setting the range of the fight behind his jab. Floyd found a way to compel Oscar to abandon the punch and, from then on, Floyd was able to control the action of the fight and setting a pace that allowed him to get his shots off clean while Oscar flailed/winged his own attempts; Floyd 8-3-1.

depends on what the fight looks like; if Camacho landed those pitty pat punches in an attempt to simply keep Rosario off of him, Rosario would seem to be the fighter setting the pace, doing the damage, winning the round. If Camacho landed those shots behind punches that he was using to set range (double-jab, straight right, spin to reset for another shot, etc), but Rosario was able to wing in big shots (fight not being in his range/at his pace), Camacho dictating things from long range wins the round.
