They're not clean if they're pitty pat. It's impossible to land slapping pitty pat shots that are clean. That's why they're called pitty pat to begin with.

Let me give you guys an example, Canelo vs Lara. I had it Canelo 7-5 in a very close fight, Lara was too inactive for me in some rounds and consequently gave up rounds he was in control of

I look for effective aggression and who is making the fight happen. If one fighter is making the other miss, but not throwing any punches of his own, he doesn't get the round. However, counterpunchers who effectively elude the other man's punches and land their own are fine. I just like to see a good rate of activity. Hate scoring low punch output fights. I guess my main priority is effective aggression.

Pitty-pat... as in Paquiao running in with his 1-2-1-2 (with his head straight up in the air). exactly, his shoulders are not behind any of th shots in those instances.
