  • Comments Thread For: Roach: Mayweather Tasted Defeat, He'll Taste It Again!

Trainer Freddie Roach is not focusing on the obvious fact that Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) is undefeated. Roach is training Manny Pacquiao for his WBC/WBO/WBA welterweight unification bout with Mayweather. The pay-per-view fight takes place on May 2nd from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao is the underdog in the contest, but there is a lot of money coming down on the Filipino star. Mayweather suffered several defeats as an amateur. As a professional, he's lost very few rounds in the last couple of years. Styles make fights and Roach is confident his fighter has the style to win.

Floyd won the golden glove nationals 3 times in separate weight classes.

Mayweather had an amateur record of 84-6 and won national Golden Gloves championships in 1993 (at 106 lb), 1994 (at 114 lb) and 1996 (at 125 lb)

          Yes, he beat him twice.

          Coming close doesn't count.

          That is all.

"... And in the post fight morning of the long awaited mega fight, an unusual scene is played out as Freddie, otherwise known as "The Joke Coach" Roach kneels before Floyd Mayweather junior in the battle worn and blood soaked squared circle and reluctantly, but humbly exclaims... "I was wrong Floyd, you are The Best Ever."

He beat him in the rematch, you can't lose a fight if you throw more punches and land more punches, period. Mayweather don't have enough power to make one of his punches worth more than the SEVERAL punches Castillo would land.

That's all boxingscene does. Chop an interview into 100 parts and dramatize the parts into cheesy headlines.

Interviewer: Is Manny more stressed out about this fight, has he shown any signs of fear?

Roach: Not really a fight always has a price to pay. Anything can happen. Manny can get hurt but he can hurt Floyd. N-n-next question.

                    Boxingscene headline:
Roach: Manny Will Make Floyd Pay, Hurt Him!

"Hall of Fame Trainer of Fighter of the Decade had some harsh words and a grave warning for Pound for Pound King Floyd Ma...."
