    True ^^

But, which definition describes why Oscar " abandoned " his jab ?

"Floyd has usually adjusted pretty easily to those type of guys and figured them out"

Could you please name just ONE fighter similar to Pacquiao that Floyd has ever faced?

Manny is a unique, never faced before challenge for Floyd, every bit the same as Floyd will be for Manny. No previous fighter and no sparring partner will ever be useful to try and prepare for what is coming for both. That's what makes this fight so interesting, other than those two being the best P4P fighters in the last decade or so therefore the need for defining who is really #1, even if it took too many years for the fight to finally happen.

Pac is an active fighter just outside of his prime and has the speed to give Floyd trouble.
Now Floyd has usually adjusted pretty easily to those type of guys and figured them out, but if Pac can take the early rounds with activity and make Floyd engage it could be interesting.

This would make a great Plan A against floyd but if floyd anticipates this then they need a Plan B and Plan C that he's not advertising to the media where all of Team Money cant say "Hey Floyd he's employing the same stuff that he did with Oscar"... There's a lot of stuff that's gonna go on come fight night that both camps aren't gonna tell to the media (strategies, gameplans), hopefully both leave it all in the ring soon.

I think a Marquez strategy is required. Floyd will keep his distance by just backing up, letting Pacquiao come to him and using his reach to pot shot. Pacquiao still hasn't shown an answer to this. He jumps in, he gets clocked.

                ummm..... not really.

                What is more correct ?

                1) Oscar abandoned his jab
                2) Mayweather took Oscars jab away

You " abandon " something..... when it has become a piece of shht that is no longer reliable.

                  either way.

the BOXING TERM is abandoned his jab.

so you being nitpicky with his wording is ******.

watch more boxing and you'll hear announcers commonly use it.

Do you really want to build off a losing game plan. MW seen that game plan already, you would be a fool to think he hasn't came up with a game plan for it.
