Floyd's brand is poison for sponsors, so if he wants to have any association with PBC his image has to do a complete U-turn. Haymon's PBC business model is about companies associating their brand with that product. As evidenced by Mayweather's total lack of endorsements, nobody wants to associate their brand with him.

That's not necessarily the reason but it might be. He might also just not want to be remembered as the horrible **** he's been for the last half-decade or so.
