You mean like Ward stating that he needs two or three tune ups fights before taking on a major opponent like GGG? That kind of excuse? And maybe the FACT that Ward has had his tune up fights refused by both HBO and SHOWTIME? Those kind of excuses? Or should we call them what they really are: REASONS.

to be fair i think thats his point. hes saying look how hard it was just to get that fight done how it was not realistic once he was with haymon i dont see him backing down or letting his belts go in a purse bid tho no way plus haymon will probably win the bid anyway

It was only hard because the punk ran to Haymon when his promoters were almost ready to agree to a deal for the Kovalev fight. He went to Haymon to specifically get him out of the Kovalev fight.

First of all, he jumped to showtime when HBO became serious about fighting Kovalev......

Second, He and Haymon lowballed the crap out of Hopkins thinking B-hop had no other options.....

yeah, GGG can't exactly get mad when cotto and Andrade do same thing to him.

Most posters are really mad that Stevenson exploited a loophole when he walked away from the Kov fight and HBO to go to Haymon and Showtime. Kov kicking ass has made the fight much bigger.

If he does fight kov this year, he will make more than he would've in 2014. If he beats Kov, then he makes all the predictions from all those making up colorful nicknames look foolish.

How is GGG situation the same? Ward was in a different weight class and was not fighting...

Stevenson and Kov already had an agreement with all parties involved ready to go when Stevenson decided to run to haymon and showtime.
