Oh how we sing a different tune when we earn some stripes !
The twitter exchanges between Beterbiev and Kovalev suggest that they are already thinking about fighting each other, but not yet. Beterbiev needs more pro experience first.

Why is it the people on here who criticize Stevenson , saying he's ducking Kovalev, won't criticize Kovalev for using the same justification Stevenson used in order to avoid fighting Beterbiev ?

Why is it people on here love to say everybody's ducking GGG , but when Ward called his bluff and GGG changed his tune there were nothing but brilliant excuses made for GGG ?

Can anyone help me explain some of these strange paradoxes ?

Because he hasn't done anything to suggest he wants to justify not fighting Beterbiev and you're making **** up. He certainly didn't run away from a deal to fight Kovalev like the Superduck did to Kovalev, so you really have no idea what you're talking about. Which you know, but will continue to lie about.

First earn a fight with me, and then I will punish you. And no more wishful thinking.

This is the quote from Kovalev speaking on Beterbiev . Sounds pretty much identical to what Stevenson said to Kovalev about 3 or 4 fights ago . Now having said that , since some of u on here r so close to Kovalev , would someone be a darling and ask him exactly what this AMBIGUOUS criterion is that Beterbiev has to meet to qualify him EARNING a shot , cause id really like to know and I'm sure Beterbiev would too .

So in other words he is saying he wants to fight but not right now?

Its like being in school saying you want to meet some kid to fight at the flag poll after school then staying as close as possible to the principal(Haymon/Networks) outside of the building who watching everything in order to get out of a beating but claim it will happen another time when they are not a factor because you want the fight so badly.

Kovalev avoiding Beterbiev? Beterbiev has been a pro for 2 years, if he wants it I'm sure he can get it, Kovalev would fight him in a heartbeat. GGG fights at middleweight, why all this Ward talk?! Ward is retired until he fights again, and they are different weight divisions!

Why all this Ward talk , ask GGG . Because GGG kept speaking Wards name until Ward called his bluff , then GGG did a backstroke better than Phelps

So Adonis should take a bad deal because you want to see the fight? HBO dropped the ball. Why aren't they taking any of the blame for this fight not happening? Adonis had no choice but to bounce. You and I would've done the same thing. Everybody is so quick to blame Haymon but Adonis wasn't happy with the deal before Haymon ever got involved.
