He is rated on his popularity. He is a good fighter with skill but his slow legs are his downfall

The kid is not a bum, he is a very good fighter he is still young so he can eventually be great. He's got an immensely high level of confidence even after being embarrassed by Floyd. Any way to call him a bum is not proper the guy is a good fighter and has only lost to the best fighter in the world.

Canelo has over 40 fights, lost to the best boxer in the world and didn't fair well because of styles. One of the reasons that Mayweather picked him, was his age, and his style which catered to Mayweather.

Trout was supposed to beat Canelo by the detractors, yet that didn't happen. It was a close fight, but IMO Canelo won a close decision.

Against Lara, the same thing, Canelo was supposed to be taken to school. Instead what we saw was Lara running, not countering with any hard shots and Canelo getting the decision because he was at least the aggressor.

I think Canelo beats Cotto, and I think Canelo does much better against GGG than people like to give him credit.

Canelo is all of 24 years old, he's progressed immensely in his defensive skills alone in the past 2-3 years and I think is learning more and more how to be aggressive, without being vulnerable.

Canelo is a hell of a fighter, and I think will only get better. Is he going to be a ATG? We don't know, but I am looking forward to seeing it pan out.
But it was ineffective aggression against Lara though.

True. He barely beat Trout(who dominated Cotto) and Lara(who dominated Trout) but they're still W's and that= him not being a bum. A win vs Kirkland would be good but a win against Cotto would be fantastic.

Age is irrelevant when you've had nearly 50 pro fights, that's where you get your experience. Not age. He's not young in terms of fighting experience. He's closer to his ceiling than his floor in terms of ability.

It was even less what Lara did. I think the judges had no choice to give the decisions to Canelo because of Lara's running. There's a difference in boxing and running, and Lara ran.

                    Got schooled by Matthew Hatton

Has only ever fought 1 good fighter (Mayweather)

Canelo is a one sided, overrated, wet behind the ears BUM who couldn't beat his meat.

I'd love to see a single argument that proves the above to be incorrect.

Yes, he is a bum. That is why millions of Mexican fans love him. They love bums don't you know. That is why Boxrec ranks him as the best 154 pounder in the world. They love bums too. Canelo is worth millions and is one of the highest paid fighters in boxing. It seems like the paying fans love a good bum like Canelo. I am a Canelo fan. I love to watch that bum fight.
