This is the backlash for wasting everyone's time with the Canelo negotiations that Cotto had no intentions on following thru with.

Arum is trying to snatch away K9 and HBO is pinning him into a corner to fight Canelo. I'm happy to see networks begin to take a hardline with fighters who want easy paydays/fights.

I think they see a possibility with Canelo. They know damn well Cotto wont fight GGG. They wont even waste their time trying to entertain that one.

Maybe. My guess is HBO made the deal with Canelo to get him from SHowtime-we'll get you the cotto fight first and you can wait GGG out.

I would think given the way HBO has marketed GGG and keeps stating he is the best MW, they would force him into a title shot, especially given what the WBC did by making him the mando.
