Canelo had too much respect for Mayweather and was overconfident in his own boxing ability. Canelo had speed and a persistent offense. One problem though Canelo is a slow flat footed fighter chasing Floyd in one straight line. Not only that but he throws the exact same punches over and over. Floyd caught on quick and with his defensive ability attacked Canelo's vulnerable points since he was already the aggressor facing a counter puncher. Canelo ended up gassing and still followed his futile strategy as Floyd just had fun and made it even more of a wipe out. Canelo has a devastating offense if you are not able to disarm it. Someone the likes of Floyd could do it easily
Why wasn't Canelo able to do what Maidana did in the first Mayweather fight?

This ^^^^ Pac throws from multiple lateral angles but in a straight line. Pac isn't as big, doesn't fight dirty, nor does he throw big overhand punches. Pac fights completely different from any of the fighters Floyd has had so called problems with.Comment

Floyd walked Canelo down and had zero respect for him or his power. He shoulder rolled the shiat out of him. Against Marcos he underestimated him and looked slow. If Marcos fought the Floyd who faced Nelo, he would be stopped in seven rounds.Comment

Exactly, Pacquiao spends his time each round making his number one priority attacking and throwing in bunches. If he can't land or now a'days feels vulnerable to coming in straight he will slip in and out, side to side finding openings everywhere. Floyd is either going to have to be extremely sharp attacking every little opening possible while keeping himself safe, simultaneously resetting constantly or control distance and plant his feet being the aggressorComment
