I've watched this sport long enough to understand that some fans of some boxers see things with rose colored glasses and see things not exactly the way other people see things. Maidana did a whole lot better than he gets credit for and he did a whole lot better than most of us expected him to do. You say 3 punches, well you have a lot of non-maidana fans who'll disagree with you there.

Killing himself to make weight??? Guess that kinda ****s on the only reason Manny is relevant today. Because that run of Oscar, Hatton, and Cotto came against three guys.......you guessed it. Killing themselves to make weight.

As for Floyd's loss to Serafim Todorov. It was a complete robbery, which is often the cause at the international level of amateur boxing.

3 meaningful punches from maidana i assume he only considers the meaningful punches to be the ones that hurt floyd

thus, floyd landed no meaningful punches

        get me?

I swear man. I remember watching the first fight thinking that I had never in my life seen Mayweather getting dominated like he was. I used to get all hyped up when Floyd would be putting a beating on someone and I have seen pretty much all of his fights but I haven't seen him taking damage like that since maybe Castillo I. I didn't have him winning any of the first 6 rounds, 1 rd best case but he was getting worked over.

Flush lands son. You can "land" a punch that your opponent rolls with and takes damn near all the sting out. Chino hurt Floyd at the end of the 3rd in the rematch. And in the first fight. He clocked Floyd in the center of the ring in like the 5th with a chopping right. And he caught Floyd at the end if a 4punch combo where he threw three straight left hooks to the body, for whatever reaso Floyd dropped his left guard, and Chino came over the top and clocked him. Outside of that it was a bunch of fouling, hitting arms and shoulders. And when he did land, Floyd was rolling with the punches. He did some decent body work in the first fight. But that too was highly overrated and Floyd's body work was actually better. Which had a lot to do with Chino fading down the stretcg.

he's a very good counter-puncher, mainly because of his speed, and the occassions that he uses it off his defense, but he doesn't counter much

marquez is always countering, floyd is usually on the defensive when you're throwing, his counter-punching which like i pointed out is fairly limited, what makes him special is his defense

roy jones is a great counter-puncher, and someone who's counter punching i'd consider special

floyd's a potshotter, his defense nullifies you, and then he's got that speedy potshotting style to get his points, or in his younger days, he'd jump on you with combos, still, more of a lead fighter than a counter-puncher and he's very clever with his lead, very subtle fients, quick tag and out

okay? you shouldn't cry because he's not the greatest at everything, he's a very good counter-puncher, but marquez is better simply because he's more strict and varied with it, and a guy like roy jones is special

and most people dont know wtf they are talkin about when it comes to boxing, alot on here think once you take a fight to the inside vs pacquiao you win because he has no inside game "whatsoever", as they say
Don't tell em that he'll go into meltdown.

Floyd is TBE and has no flawz.

                      Styles make fights.

Bradley is more featherfisted than Floyd, yet he visibly stunned Pacquiao in their rematch. Oh, if Bradley can hurt Pacquiao, Mayweather will hurt him even more! Uh no, styles make fights. Bradley punches recklessly, Maidana throws recklessly and loves getting close. Pacquiao doesn't like close encounters and doesn't throw like Maidana.
