Comments Thread For: Fortune: If Maidana Landed, Pacquiao Lands A lot More!

Justin Fortune, the strength and conditioning coach for WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, is expecting the Filipino star to land some very telling blows on WBC/WBA champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Fortune, a former fighter, studied Mayweather's last two fights and felt the undefeated pound-for-pound king had slowed down and took a lot more punches than in previous ring appearances.

Maidana landed three meaningful punches in 24 rounds. So maybe Manny lands three in 12rds.

They will both hit eachother. Question is, how does Manny take that left hook.

We are gonna see a fight where Floyd is backing, and Pacquiao stalking => Floyds left hook and the damage it can bring => Pacquiao's resiliance => Floyds movement => Pacquiaus movement ==> Who's will is greatest.

Pinch me of punch me. We got a fight!

last but not least. This might be the final time we see, either one of them. The guy who loses might not fight again.

In the fight between Mayweather and Maidana. Mayweather landed 230 punches and Marcos Maidana landed 221. Marcos Maidana is considerably slower than Manny Pacquiao. So it seems like Floyd is going to have his hands full.

This is the case on point. Not to mention Pac hasn't been motivated to win a fight like this since probably ODLH.
Pac's been generally dominating fighters he didn't have much motivation to fight.

Let's see what a 200% focused Pac can do here.
