Sergio fan? Ehh, somewhat. But more like a boxing fan who likes to see good fights, and that one wasn't.

You probably wouldn't know what I'm talking about seeing as you only nuthug your nationalistic fighters.

PS. Danny is from Philly. You could get off his d1k now.
nothing wrong with being fans of your national fighters no different then rooting for the local football team as a matter of fact i find it shocking just how many people in america dont take the side of their own fighter

When fighters don't fight the fight you children want right away they are labeled cowards. Boxing idiots: Floyd is a coward and would never fight Canelo, Floyd is a coward and is scared of Manny, Cotto is scared and would never fight Sergio, Danny Garcia is scared of Lucas and will never fight him. Blah blah blah. You kids needs to have patience with fights that you want, this is a business first. Cotto is one of the true fighters who hasn't ducked anyone, so to say he's scared and ducking anybody, is truly pathetic.

You then have the nerve to say he doesn't have balls when he's fought a MW, while Canelo says he won't move up to 160 and has had 3 fights at 155 (MW) against nothing but JMW's. Somehow he gets credit for having balls because he doesn't want to fight any MW's even though Cotto's fought at least one already? Interesting logic.
canelo has had 3 fights at 155?
        stop lying ...
danny has had 19 fights over 140 and i dont see you *****ing about it...
you care so much about canelo but you dont give a fuç about danny?

Absolutely. The level of petty BS from "fans" is unfortunate.

Cotto has fought the guys nobody else wanted to fight and did not wait 6 years to do it.

I don't think people fully understand the fact that Cotto holds the WBC, RING lineal middleweight title and is honor bound to defend those titles against the best challenger in the division who is also his mandatory challenger, Gennady Golovkin. If Cotto believes he is too small, he should vacate the title and go on his way.

here is more info on the topic:

After talking to Freddie Roach when he paid a visit to the Wild Card Gym to watch Manny Pacquiao train, Golovkin believes Cotto will not face him.
"Of course I want to fight him, he's a legend, a big name for me," Golovkin said of Cotto. "Canelo's the guy who will fight me."
Roach reportedly hinted that Cotto does not need to face Golovkin despite the possibility of getting a big paycheck again because the Puerto Rican owns 16 gasoline stations in his country.
The Hall of Fame trainer said Cotto will be financially stable even if he retires and hinted that the reigning World Boxing Council middleweight champion will not take a risk in fighting a dominating opponent like Golovkin.
Before finalizing his title defense on May 16, Golovkin and his camp reportedly tried to reach out to Cotto about his interest in a title unification bout in May, but they did not get any response, which made them decide to face Monroe.
Alvarez, who holds an impressive 44-1-1 record with 31 knockouts, is familiar with Golovkin, having sparred with the unbeaten middleweight champion. When asked about Golovkin, Alvarez had nothing but praises for the knockout artist from Karaganda, Kazakhstan.
"Gennady Golovkin is a strong fighter," Alvarez told Tha Boxing Voice. "At the time, I was 20 years old. I was in Big Bear two times and those two we sparred. He was a heavier fighter therefore I was able to throw hard shots at him. Golovkin was also able to throw hard punches to me as well. It was good sparring. He's a strong fighter."

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin are scheduled to face separate foes in May, but the two boxing superstars might eventually collide later this year.

Scotty, did you read about the deal he did with Roc? Cotto is already rich beyond the dreams of all but a handfull of boxers and he's going to get richer still, without any need to take a beat-down from GGG in the process.

And GGG doesn't need to beat Cotto to become the lineal MW champ. If Cotto vacates and goes back down to SWW the lineal title will either be awarded to GGG by default, as he is Cotto's mandatory, or the winner of GGG vs whoever the WBC nominate to fight him for their belt will become lineal champ as well as WBC champ. That's how it works.
I think I read HBO will only support the Bundrage fight will only be accepted if Canelo is next. Rich or not they won't just accept any fight, look at the issues Ward is havi right now, HBO will not accept Oousthuizen as a tune up, considering the guy is an actul IBO champion I don't consider that an actual poor tune up for a guy inactive for 18 months right ?

I'm not so sure Cotto will vacate, rather hold onto the belt until he is offered acceptable terms from the likes of GGG or Canelo, Mayweather could even come back into the fold pursuing middleweight lineage. Either way Cotto won't be in a rush to vacate unless the WBc enforce the mandatory, which I don't see happening before Cotto has his next big fight lined up.

GGG and his handlers really need to put their money where their mouths are. As many have stated Cotto would be crucified by GGG, why would he be in a rush to face him for a fee he considers below his worth ? I'm not evens a huge Cotto fan, more so a GGG can actually, I just have to laugh at guys calling Cotto a coward and others demanding Cotto should face the Kazakh. Only the sadists of the site would truly want to see thst fight anyway.

I'm looking at potential fights for GGG at middleweight and don't see a genuine challenge for him at the weight, he should stop chasing the Cotto payday and move up for the competitive fights.
