Unless K2 or HBO put the money up why should he ? He's lineal champ, whether he vacates GGGstill won't have beaten the man. Cotto earnt his right to preside over offers sent to him, unless they offer him anything he feels is worth his time he has the option to rebuff low balls. Good on him. Like the guy says, he will only face GGG if it is in his interests, we all know that means make me an offer I can't refuse, or I'll go out and earn the money elsewhere.

Scotty, did you read about the deal he did with Roc? Cotto is already rich beyond the dreams of all but a handfull of boxers and he's going to get richer still, without any need to take a beat-down from GGG in the process.

And GGG doesn't need to beat Cotto to become the lineal MW champ. If Cotto vacates and goes back down to SWW the lineal title will either be awarded to GGG by default, as he is Cotto's mandatory, or the winner of GGG vs whoever the WBC nominate to fight him for their belt will become lineal champ as well as WBC champ. That's how it works.
