I gotta give it up to Cotto, 17-million to fight a tomato can. He really robbed the world... He's laughing all the way to the bank.

What a complete joke of a fight, on the other hand.

I believe Cotto will fight Heiland later this year when there's a real threat of being stripped of his belts. That's a fight he would win against a decent middleweight. Cotto should fight him now because this kid is improving more and more every fight...

Cotto is not fighting a genuine middleweight at 160, not now, not ever. He will fight his voluntary and then vacate the titles or be stripped. He has no other options. He cannot defend against anyone other than GGG once his voluntary is done. People who continue to claim that he will be able to fight Floyd or Canelo or Manny for the MW title after his voluntary are, to be very blunt, fools, idiots or simply delusional.

Bundrage is mediocre and old, yes, but he doesn't have a broken leg or missing eye or anything and technically he isn't retired *yet*. This is actually a big step up for Cotto and he deserves credit. I honestly thought he would call out Ray Mancini.

I just can't wait for when Cotto is no longer in the MW division and your god GGG has no significant opponents left to fight and is forced to either move up or stay in the MW division building his hall of fame career fighting tomato cans. Mean while Cotto has already punched his hall of fame ticket walking off into the sunset uh 50 or more millions richer.

I thought he might try to make a statement by challenging a true middleweight - Sam Soliman who has bad knees, just turned 41 and is a former champion. I thought he would be perfect for Cotto but he went out and found someone even more decrepit in Bundrage. Really have to give his team props for finding these over the hill fighters who are still willing to give it another go.

Most people here cannot wait for when Cotto vacates the title and goes back where he belongs. Cotto is not a significant opponent for GGG, he is barely a sparring partner who would be put down quickly in the ring. He is not a challenge or competition for Golovkin at all. It would actually be quite sad to see him take the kind of beating GGG would give him in the ring and if he was to fight him, he would never be able to complete his great contract with Roc Nation. He would be so ashamed that he would never show his face, what was left of it, in public again.

Right, while GGG is fighting all those powerhouses, he keeps this up by next year the International Hall Fame should start surveying the spot where GGG's bust and plaques will go.

Haha, that was my first thought. Wonder if HBO or Showtime will pick this fight up?
It is Cotto after all and he's a ratings machine.
