If he fights Wilder first then Fury, that's completely understandable.

I hope that 2/3 of his next fights incl. Fury & Wilder in whatever order.

Fury is a bigger threat and Wilder has the WBC belt, so obviously Wlad would fight Wilder first if he had the choice.

He doesn't have the choice though. Haymon has plans for Wilder and they don't include Wlad, not for another couple of years at least, I'm 100% certain of that.

I think there is an excellent chance Wilder will be beltless before he can even challenge Klit in a unification next year.

I doubt it. Haymon is going to make sure Wilder doesn't fight anybody who has a real chance of beating him.

All indications from his team and him behind the scenes are that he doesn't want to fight Fury. He may see that Fury has a good chance of beating him but there isn't anything to gain by fighting him right now. They are going hard after Wilder because he holds he WBC title his brother had and he's an easy fight. Haymon wants to milk Wilder as long as he can so he won't put Wilder in the ring with Klit in the near future at least.
This is why I see a Glazkov/Briggs being the most likely fight in sept.

                This ^^

Haymon has invested a lot of money into Wilder, no chance he gets in with Wlad or the furious one. Fury would box his ears off & stop him late, Wlad would knock him out cold before the 6th.

If Povetkin becomes Wilder's mando after being Perez in May then he'll have no choice but to fight Povetkin or vacate his title. This may force Al's hand to cash Wilder out against Klit because Wilder fighting Povetkin or Klit might as well be him handing over his title.

But of course there is. #Title defenses.

In boxing, money talks. Haymon has plenty of it and throws it at his investments like there's no tomorrow.

But Haymon knows tomorrow always comes. And tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, is what he's looking at with Wilder. So I think Haymon has been throwing money at the WBC.

How else can you explain Malik Scott, KO'd by Chisora in his previous fight, as Wilder's opponent in a final eliminator for their belt? Or Stiverne and Areolla, both short, slow, and tailor made for Wilder, fighting for the vacant title with Deontay going against the winner?

Maybe they will take their time enforcing the defence if Povetkin becomes mandatory for their belt. Maybe Haymon thinks Wilder can beat Povetkin, who looked awful against 6ft 6in Wlad.

I'm sure he'd have a much better chance of beating Povetkin than he would have against Fury.
