From what I read, the 5mil penalty would be a side penalty aside from whatever fines/suspensions take place as a result for coming up dirty.

Seems to me that Ellerbe is trying to spin it and make it seem as if konz is requesting a change to the liability when he never once mentioned that.
That's what I been thinking as well. Someone said Koncz want it included in the existing contract. But if I remember it correctly, Koncz mentioned that offer after both signed the contract. My take on that particular statement from Koncz is that Manny is so willing to prove he is clean and nothing to hide that he is willing to put 5 mil penalty on whoever tested positive.

Hey slo-mo how does this substitute any other rules or suspension. You're knowledge is pretty limited

Are you guys seriously this damn dumb?! In the video Bob Arum explains that neither fighter was scared of accepting the demand but it was not a smart move considering if any of them got caught with dirty blood that neither of them can sue for MORE MONEY! He says it plain as day in the video! Are you guys seriously telling me that this is not enough to put this article and issue to bed?

That's all it is. Ellerbe and The Floyd brigade is making this out to be more than what it really is.

your answer will be and must be yes right?

then you will present to me why did they rejected it.

Floyd and Sr. got sued the last time that they ran their mouths about Manny with no proof. When it came time to go to court and bring discovery on both fighters Floyds team wasted no time settling, including apologizing to Manny publicly and an undisclosed financial settlement.
Now they refuse a penalty if Floyd comes up dirty? And Floyd is talking about going to Miami and a known PED clinic to get Vampire Facials? Plus with Floyds fight schedule the last two years, basically fighting twice in a 4 months span and then taking pretty much a year off, lending itself to PED cycles? Suspect as hell...

If that was the case why not request a 100 million fine? 5 mill is chump change.

Arum was also saying he has no hard feelings towards Floyd and never did and all this mushy stuff, what is he supposed to say after that? "I never had any issues with floyd and hes a great guy but jeez him turning down that stipulation was awfully su****ious" that's what he should have said but he seemed to be trying to be diplomatic
Dude if any floyd or manny was to agree to that dumbass clause they can't sue for way more then 5mil and that's what arum pointed out why would you settle for 5mil on a fight that's generated 300mil+? What kind of economical sense does that make? It would limit the liability to just that 5mil fine and nothing else which doesn't benefit either party at end of day
