for real, I dont get it. Whats to hate? The guy is always in shape, always makes weight, doesnt talk smack, will fight anyone, tries to stay busy with 4 fights a year, wants to unify the belts, isnt on TMZ every other day involved in some drama, when he has a lesser foe in front of him he gets him out of there instead of carrying him for 12 rounds playing it safe, he had a stellar amateur career, is technically sound, and can crack for real. Whats to hate? hmmmmmmmm, let me think............

Nobody hates the dude. It's like the Pact@rd phenomena; any real fan of the sport likes the fighter, but the fans of said fighter may tend to be a bit overenthusiastic or have some weird, sitting-in-the-basement-too-much agenda.

Though I will say that teh cult of pretty boy, imo, seems to enjoy a higher ratio of longtime boxing fans to recent than the pact@rd armies and the ggg fans...though that is just my perception. I could be wrong.

Yet a couple of the lesser ones are Golovkin's best wins

He is not hated because he is a threat to 147-154 pound fighter. That's like me fabricating that Andre Ward is hated because Ward is a threat to Middleweights and Junior Welterweights. That's nothing to really boast about, of course Ward's a threat to 154-160 fighters. Golovkin is a big threat to 147-154 pound fighters, that's true; at 173lbs on fight night, his height, power, he's a big threat. Is that some kind of feat, or a bragging right? So he has Welterweights and Junior Middleweights shook, is that his ticket to super stardom? Or is he gonna actually do something big like go up at least 8 pounds and beat some top 10 contender up there?
