You can really sense Pacquiao's faith in religion when he speaks. I think that's one reason he took his losses to Bradley and Marquez so well.
Other fighters who start every post-fight interview with 'first, let me thank god', you sense they're just doing it because everyone else does..almost a habit.
It's different with Pacquiao though.
To me, it's no coincident Pacquiao has has lost his killer instinct somewhat, and often looked to go easy on opponents when in cruise control...since he has gone deeper in religion. Boxing is no longer the big thing in his life.
Roach is right with what he is saying though. He's often tried to get Pacquiao to be 'nastier'. Return to his older, 'meaner' self. So, of course Roach wants him to be in that frame of mind for the biggest fight of his career...damn, don't we all?
