I think you are right. people want to see that guy lose. You better believe that 3/4 of the crowd will be chanting for pac.

Because people hate Floyd and want to see him lose. It is crazy becuase the villain always steals the show on TV series , If you ever watch wrestling which is so fake and scripted the bad guys get the best ratings. Floyd is the villain in this fight and he has set up his personna that way.

What are you talking about? If people were so anxious to see Pac and his fighting style and Floyd was so boring, then it would reflect in their PPV numbers as well.

Seriously though, Mayweather does outsell Pacquiao in terms of PPV and never fails to sell out the MGM Grand. Is it just because people want to see him lose? of course part of it is that. But a big part is people marketing Mayweather as a brand more than a fighter. It just becomes "the Mayweather fight". Floyd is super, super talented but it's not entertainment but that doesn't matter. People will buy it because the general public are brainwashed consumers and tune in to what they're told to.

The truth is the ticket sales are crazy because it's both of these guys. They need each other to make something sell this big.
