Yes I totally agree. Yes, Golovkin looks really good, and could really be something to behold on the middleweight scene, but it seem slike in this situation they are really trying to make him into this massive superstar when he really hasn't fought anybody at the very top level yet. I understand making money, and I understand HBO is in s tough spot and needs to maximize the few fighters they have, but this is a bit of a stretch. Let the kid do something before you start talking about 'unbeatable' and 'dominant' and mentioning him in the same breath as SRR. Really.

Just a reminder:
February 21st, Tom Loeffler says that Lara can get it next if he wants it
March 8th, Lara says that he is staying at 154lbs
I know that makes you so mad lol

You told me to put a gun in my mouth earlier. Just because I'm owning you in a boxing thread? I think it's obvious who is mad here.

That's a team and a fighter being consistent and truthful with their intentions.
Not "Lara could be next" and then making no attempt to fight Lara.
Or Lara can't fight on HBO but Quillin is "hiding behind the network excuse" (exact quote from Abel Sanchez).
Or the now infamous 154-168 quote.....but Ward at 164 doe.
Financial sense doe but Cotto, Froch and Chavez are ducking.
*** outta here.
You claim GGG being avoided is a myth. Frochs cowardly words prove you wrong. Consistent indeed, he reiterated his reluctance while trying to explain away the original comments, remember?

I guess he's a coward too? Stop with the kiddy insults and stick to the topic at hand.
My claim is that there are clearly fighters out there that do want to fight Golovkin such as Lara who K2 have made no attempt to secure a fight with.
No amount of talking about superstars like Froch or Cotto or whoever changes the fact that a fighter of Golovkin's stature shouldn't be in the ring with a guy who has 6 KOs and best win is a shot Bryan Vera.

So does that make him a coward who doesn't care about the fans? Just using your spin here.

Look i'm a GGG fan but you raise some serious questions.
Maybe they've looked at the ease with which he's been taking punches albeit from light punchers?
I wouldn't stick him in with Froch based on his Murray performance. No way. He'd get splattered in my opinion.
Lara, I mean. He sucks man. He's skillful but he sucks and I don't think they'd like to put GGG in with someone who tabs and runs. It's like Froch-Dirrell all over. It made Froch look bad even though he won and Dirrell was a girl in that ring.
I don't think HBO would like a stinker GGG fight. It doesn't go along with the GGG-Canelo match-up they'd like to make. So making a fight vs someone who GGG will demolish is better build-up for them.Last edited by LacedUp; 03-18-2015, 08:57 PM.
