maybe, although im not sure he's worth the trouble or the extra pay he'd think he's entitled to, esspecially when golovkin who's looking to fight 4 times this year will have his manager/promoter looking for quick and simple negotiations, they are not going to push too hard to try to make one fight happen unless it's big

lara was an important win for canelo, he's nothing for golovkin, it's a spoiling 154lb'er looking for a payday, he should up his worth with a win over andrade in my opinion, he hasn't done anything since losing to alvarez

Golovkin is waiting around at MW so he can cash out on a Canelo bout. Cotto ain't fighting him. He's more worried about cashing out than anything, I'm convinced. Won't budge on weight, and is adamant about lurking around a division he's too good for. Most people challenge themselves at this juncture and move up. It's not like hes 25 and has time, he's 32.

He manages to avoid GGG for about 4 rounds,by managing to constantly pump a jab in his face, faster than humanly thought possible. GGG starts applying the pressure, and Lara goes to the ropes like he does in every fight. GGG starts jabbing and feinting,in order to get Lara to put his earmuffs on (like he always does),and the when Lara's guard is high,GGG lands a hook to the body, which rips his liver in half, nails him with the Rubio's punch, and sends him through the floor,to China,or smashes him with a Murray uppercut, which takes him flying all the way back to Guantanamo, where he can say hi to my cousins. I'm a Lara fan,but if angulo could put him down,GGG ends him.
Great so why didn't they pursue the fight?

Lara would be far and away the best fighter that Golovkin has ever faced.

it's the strategy nowadays, hang around feeding lurking in the background and then pounce on the spotlight, but golovkin after this fight still has 2 more fights this year(should everything go smoothly), im hopeful that atleast 1 more big/important fight happens for golovkin this year

                Reaching, hell.
GGG fights at 160lbs and if his fight is shown in the U.S. it will be broadcast by HBO per his contact. How is Lara(Haymon fighter) going to fight GGG on HBO at 160lbs if he is staying with Al Haymon and not moving up to 160lbs?
The easiest way would be to get the WBA belt off Danny Jacobs(in house fight) and then force purse bids to get the fight on NBC/Spike/BET/Bounce for a mandatory shot.
Lara will not do that because he is just talking about it.
You are a serious idiot lol

Agree with most of Dirks original post.

I like GGG but this myth of no one wanting to fight him is a joke, This fight with Monroe is also a joke. He has the full backing of HBO your telling me this is the best option Monroe was a 8 round fighter a year ago , but he's a slick south paw cool but GGG isn't going to respect his power and he's hasn't shown anything that he's above an,C class fighter.

Even if you take away all the Haymon fighters there's still options out there for GGG light years beyond this. Is this his stay busy fight after his 40-1 challenge in Murray.

Everyone wants GGG to be a big star but if he continues to fight no hopers which he's essentially done his whole career I don't see how it'll happen .!In some ways I see comparisons in Klitchko in how K2 is managing his career which I don't think is a good thing. But this year is the time for GGG to fight a live opponet

Because he's with Haymon, and as such not welcome on HBO. Plus he makes for bad fights and ratings. If HBO decides to work with Haymon again, it won't be over Lara for sure
