At the end of this video, Lara says he is staying at 154. So there goes your theory.
You people need to understand that Lara does not want to fight GGG. He was just playing the name game like so many other Haymon fighters.

I don't even think Bernard can even make 168 much less 160.

Plus Bernard is coming off a loss what interest would that make at this point?

I mean you make some valid points but seriously Hopkins?
      Seriously, Willie Munson Jr? Seriously?

Hopkins can easily make 168 and was willing to do so for Froch. He called out Golovkin before. It's an actual name opponent which would propel Golovkin further into the mainstream. Why wasn't it even considered?

        Really?

He doesn't even mention Golovkin. That's some serious reaching.

          Can't embed for some reason.

Now the Andre Ward fight apparently has to be at a catchweight?

I thought that was just Golovkin's rabid and scared fanbase used to roll out that stipulation but there it is from the manager's mouth.

What kind of message does that send?

          - "Nobody will fight Gennady. He's the most feared man in boxing. We'll fight Chavez and Froch at 168lbs but they don't want the fight"

          - "What about Andre Ward?"

          - "Uhmmmm,....errrmmm....164?"

Pathetic . I'm done giving these jokers a pass.
Naw man you made your bed you were one the guys here riding on ggg the hardest. Just yesterday and the day before you were defending ggg harder than loeffler himself

For the same reason Adonis Stevenson didn't, high risk low reward.

I agree about the Munson thus you see no dispute on myend, I really don't see a high demand for Bernard at this time verse ANYONE because of the pretty much one sided beating he took in his last outing.

You clearly don't know anything about me. Who are you anyway?

Sergio Mora called him out for ages, even offering to fight him for 299k, but they pretended like they couldnt hear. Im sure they were worried Mora would make GGG look ordinary and kill the hype.

They didn't even consider the fight or try to pursue the possibility of making it happen, let's be real. This ******** of a fight was already in the can.
Alright dirk, let's entertain the possibility of this fight. The right gets made, and there's the opening bell. Lara starts of with his fan friendly style, which looks like a cheetha on *******, and is trying to break the 100 meter world record. He manages to avoid GGG for about 4 rounds,by managing to constantly pump a jab in his face, faster than humanly thought possible. GGG starts applying the pressure, and Lara goes to the ropes like he does in every fight. GGG starts jabbing and feinting,in order to get Lara to put his earmuffs on (like he always does),and the when Lara's guard is high,GGG lands a hook to the body, which rips his liver in half, nails him with the Rubio's punch, and sends him through the floor,to China,or smashes him with a Murray uppercut, which takes him flying all the way back to Guantanamo, where he can say hi to my cousins. I'm a Lara fan,but if angulo could put him down,GGG ends him.
