Lol you guys want the same lara who got mauled by angulo and out hustled by canelo to fight a beastly hitter like ggg Yea ok. In what world does that help ggg willie jr may not be the next big thing now but he is a talented slick southpaw who campaigns at 160. If anything its more of a gimmie fight he can get some great quality rounds and stay active while cottos clock runs out on defending the belt.

Golovkin would get WAY more **** for picking on Lara than he is for fighting Monroe Jr.

He isn't even the best guy at 154, just about every fight he's ever been in was a disputed wash because of his "style".

I was just criticizing people for placing GGG too high on p4p lists but I guess they have a point. No matter what he does he will get **** for it until the other 3 "middleweight champions" step up.

Regarding ducking, remember there's that #1 rated SMW p4per that said we'll swerve him if we can, punches like a mule, dangerous fight. And this is a guy most would give a much better chance than no hoper Lara. So even if Lara is not ducking, its not a myth.

Hopkins has typically weighed in well under the 175lb limit. He said he felt small against Kovalev and was obviously desperate for the Froch fight at 168. Weight is not an issue.

I think GGG would get **** on way harder,if he made Hopkins come down to 168 for him. Hopkins is a master of his craft,but hes no spring chicken,and we don't know how his body will react to fighting at 168. Willie is a stay busy fight,and nobody has high expectations. I'll watch it,not because its a good fight,but because I'm a GGG fan. Would I rather see him fight a much better fighter? Of course I would,but I won't shun a GGG fight,just because he's taking a stay busy fight,less than 3 months after beating the arguably best fighter in his division. If that were the case,I'd wouldn't have seen danny Garcia's,leo Santa Cruz,peter quillin,Adonis stevenson,Andre ward,Adrien broner,rigondeaux, last few fights.
