Sorry about the mistake. I meant to say Bundrage doesn't cut it as a middleweight challenger. He has never defeated a middleweight and isn't even a 154 pound champion. Lara would be a better opponent but he would probably beat Cotto and Cotto doesn't want to lose.

If Cotto drops his middleweight world title then more power to him no matter who he fights. If he keeps the middleweight title and fights anybody less than a top 7 world rated middleweight after a year's wait then he is a garbage champ in my opinion. Yes, it does. According to the details released, Cotto signed a deal giving him $50 million over three fights along with other promotional agreements that could lead to the overall value of the deal exceeding $100 million. But the fight portion of the deal is 50 million over three fights.

Ishida has competed as a heavyweight in Japan, not to mention destroying Kirkland in 1 round as a MW, Kirkland who suddenly is a valid opponent for Canelo, and Rosado had a number of MW fights before taking on GGG. Enough with the dumping on GGG's opponents. Maybe you should try your luck in the ring against any one of them and see how you do.
