The Kovalev stoppage can be debated, though it looks a lot more acceptable when you see the replay footage of Pascal flopping his way back to the corner. But not giving a fighter a count and jumping straight on top of him after a relatively light knockdown is inexcusable, particularly when that fighter had taken little to zero damage in the preceding rounds.

The referee would have been in a far better position to determine whether Lopez was in a fit state to continue had he actually allowed him to return to his feet and looked directly into his eyes.

Come on TS, we just had a guy die in the ring days ago.

Anyway, the Pascal stoppage was 100% on point. He was gone. Pascal couldn't even stand up without wobbling and then walked over to the corner like he just downed 14 consecutive shots of everclear. He was f**king done. Leaving him in that state to take wide open shots from a monster like Kovalev is a recipe for disaster.

Now the Lopez stoppage was a bit questionable because it was on a flash KD, and Lopez looked okay despite that KD, but he put himself in that position. He had just got laid out on a shot right before that, and then to get knocked down on the very first shot after? His bad.

The Lopez stoppage was poor imo, he could have gone on. The Pascal stoppage was good, the guy was out on his feet and getting teed off on, Kovalev has already killed a guy in the ring.
