It looked to me Pascal was gassed he threw some wild punches and missed from what I'm hearing that gets you really tired. The time would've told had the referee let the fight continue but Pascal was tired. It was definitely a good fight and would look forward to see them fight again but give the edge to Kovalev of course.

I think a rematch would be much more one-sided. Kovalev will be measured and methodical and will tighten up his defense. It will be more like Kovalev-Hopkins.

I agree that it will be much more one-sided (for Kovalev), but it would be good to see the rematch if for this reason alone (Sergey's development as a fighter).

im just glad to see he can still put words together and seems healthy, kovalevs power is something freakish man, the guy has heavy hands. im ok with the stoppage just because when kov punches you it looks so brutal, i can only imagine from the ref point of view.

with boxers dying left and right due to brain damage you can't just sit there watching that. pascal being a warrior would tell you he can fight with one leg, but that's why the ref and doctor should override what a warrior wants to do for his own good.

i hav no interest in a rematch.

Just because they both take shots doesn't make it close!
Pascal couldn't handle the pressure, jabs and body work. He was stopped early if he was drapped over the ropes at the end of the round!
Clear win for Koval and he dominated Pascal.

I agree. Im totally not getting why so many wanna see a rematch. for what? the fight wasnt competitive and pascal didnt show any signs of being able to do better in a rematch. he was clealry out gunned and out classed and a rematch wouldnt go any better for pascal

Stop, just stop it. I had Pascal winning by sixth round K.O. as I believe Krusher is a hype job. Pascal did good, no denying that, they were pretty even as far as skills go. The deciding factor was that Krusher was stronger than Pascal, period. Pascal can take a punch better than anyone in his weight class not name Tavoris Cloud and Kovalev hurt him bad.
Pascal was able to land many good shots on Kovalev which I expected, and is the reason I though he would KO him but I overestimated Pascals power. He did hurt Krusher a couple times but not enough to put him in any real danger. I severely underestimated his punching power, and its insane how strong he is for being so skinny.

Props to Kovalev this is the first real contender he has beaten and he did well.

Are you sure you want to use Cloud as your example? Check out the vid starting @10:00 and say what I bolded again. I dare you.
