The stoppage may have been early but there's no way Pascal was knocking Kovalev out. If anything had the fight went on Pascal would've been stopped in the next twenty seconds or so.

This is the type of shiet boxers with big ego's have to tell themselves to keep their confidence up. It's sad but they have to truly believe this crap so that they don't get gun-shy.

This just serves as evidence that Pascal was so far gone that he had no idea of his condition. If there is ever a rematch, I would expect Kovalev to end it earlier than he did this time and by a real KO where Pascal will be on the canvas for a few minutes. Pascal showed heart but little brains if he really thinks he was in any shape to continue.

stoppage may have been a tad quick but Pascal wasn't knocking KOv out. He was going to get seriously hurt.
