Mentioning DLH in the same breath as Duran is blasphemy. We are taking about one of the greatest 135 lbs fighters that ever lived, a man so good at that weight he handles arguably any lightweight ever and then he moves up past prime and beats the even greater ATG SRL. The other is de la joto who never won a major fight against a prime ATG Tito, Shane , hop, Manny, Floyd all losses. Who did joto beat that was great and prime? JCC was past it by years, gatti was never an ATG, Ike was a good but never great fighter neither was Vargas. Duran is a true legend joto is a well marketed product.
durant lost to every single good opponent he faced, what made him ATG level?

If Robinson is considered the GOAT, wouldn't beating him probably be the best win in history? If so, then Jake LaMotta has the best win in history, not Duran for beating Leonard(Which is the win I assume you speak of).Comment

he also beat sugar ray leanord i dont think many consider him a top 10 all time great thoyea i know he was ballsy. fought everyone. but top 10 ATG? he literally lost to every single good opponent. To me he's just like cotto level
here's the list of people he lost to
Esteban De Jesús
Sugar Ray Leonard
Wilfred Benítez
Kirkland Laing
Marvelous Marvin Hagler
hearns
Robbie Sims
and some more past his prime
so. He got some gift decisions like with Iran Barkerly.
Edit. Apparently the one with moore was a robbery as wellComment

You can't even spell his name. It's Duran, not Durant. If you can't take the time to get a man's 5 letter name correct then the credibility of everything else you say about him comes into question. Everybody who knows boxing and knows Duran and has some eyesight and can think clearly considered Duran one of the greatest lightweights in the history of boxing. He has many losses on his record for several reasons. First he was an inconsistent trainer and was often not in fighting shape. If he had Mayweather's good training habits many of those losses on his record would be wins. Second, he was a lightweight and certainly never bigger than a 140 pounder. All those fights he had over 150 pounds he was fighting way over his proper fighting weight. Third, Duran fought when he was way past his prime so old age was the reason for some of those losses. Losing fights to much bigger all time greats like Hearns, Hagler, Leonard and Benitez is not a big deal. He didn't rob Barkley. Did you see the fight? He won fair and square. How in hell can you say he robbed Moore??????? He knocked him the hell out and damn near killed him. You don't seem to know what you are talking about. It was mainly Duran's reign of terror as the invincible lightweight champion in the world that insured him a high place forever among the all time greats. Do you believe all the fans and experts who think Duran was an all time great are wrong and you know something they don't know? Are you even aware that while he lost to De Jesus and Leonard he is the only man ever to beat Leonard in Leonard's prime and he knocked De Jesus out in his rematch with him?Comment

This thread is a direct result of the ***** "free computers for the hood" program. A slew of ****** trash who cant even spell a simple name correctly get to post B.S. about past fighters when these clowns didn't know about boxing until the Oscar/Floyd fight. You can't even spell his name. It's Duran, not Durant. If you can't take the time to get a man's 5 letter name correct then the credibility of everything else you say about him comes into question.
