That's everywhere you go. You see it here in the states as well. Boxers from their place get overrated/overhyped.Comment

Yeah for sure but at least u guys have some reporters that knows abt the sport. Here we dont. Here its hockey and thats abt it. But we have some great fans thats for sure. Montreal has to be one of the greatest boxing city to host an event.Comment

Reporters are horrible in general, especially in boxing and Montreal is no exception. The reporters were literally begging Kovalev to say something good about their hero, but instead he kept driving the dagger deeper.
Got to respect that honesty.

Here is the post fight press conference where the quotes are taken from. The particular reporter was annoying as hell and a sensitive effeminate.
Kovalev - "He's a good fighter and good trash talker. He didn't prove his worth, he didn't prove his worth because (with) his trash talking"
This quote gives insight into Kovalev mentality, Pascal talked big and ultimately didn't back it up so F him.
After this the reporter twists Sergei's words and inserts the heart comment which Sergei didn't make trying to force Sergei into giving Pascal credit. Sergei reponds with "and you mean i'm terminator" i.e. we're both human, both capable of hurting eachother, we both took punishment, i won, i'm better so stfu basically.
This idiot keeps asking dumb questions and Kovalev keeps mocking him with his responses.

Thanks, there you have it. It's common to some media people to "quote" the people they interview, or insert some words to make their story look or sounds juicy.
Pascal was looking for lucky punch all night until the stoppage. When he engage he gets hit as good as he dishes em out. The difference was Kovalev punch harder and took Pascal shot better than Pascal taking Kovalev's punches. He was pissed 'cause Pascal talk smack and didn't backed it up by standing toe to toe against him.Comment

Exactly. It's pretty simple that he misunderstood what "having heart" means. That's like asking him if Mayweather's "women" are "rachet?"Comment

He did say it, earlier in the press conference. He doesn't like Pascal, and he's not going to change his mind. It's kind of like Froch after he KO'd Groves, nothing but scorn for him.
Fans want to see respect after a fight, but sometimes the fighters just don't feel that way.Comment
