I posted here twice the same opinion...

None of the above would utterly shock me, however, if he's good and with an appropriate tune up or two, who has Beterbiev beat in the pros to make me think Ward is/might be/should be afraid of him, especially if I don't believe Ward's scared (or needs to be) of Kovalev?

Really. I'm here waiting to be convinced.
Ward didn't have the guts to fight Bute... Does anybody honestly think that Ward would share the ring with Kovalev or Beterbiev? (But I still maintain that that Beterbiev is by far the toughest opponent for Andre Ward -- Beterbiev's inside work is the worst thing Ward could get.)

If you really believe that this is the issue, then everything else follows and there is no way that you'll be swayed by opposing logic.

I don't believe that Ward was afraid to fight Bute.

I think Andre probably beats all these guys one after the other. I think you know it's likely that I'm right. Don't kid yourself.

Ward. But he needs to get active first. Kovalev would be his toughest challenge.

I know there were rumours about a broken jaw but I never saw anything that confirmed it. Like I said...it was his 3rd loss in a row. Like you said...he was already showing signs of being a shot fighter in the Stevenson fight and quit after 7. Beterbiev is going to need at least 10 more wins to prove himself worthy of a title shot. It should take him 2 1/2 years to prove himself a serious money attraction...but he might get fast tracked given the lack of real competition in the division now. He still needs to get past the top tier 1st.

I'm not saying he does not have potential...I'm saying it's way to early in his career to conclude. He's still unproven as a pro and not yet ready. I'd like to see him fight Pascal soon at least...not that I'm a fan of Pascal or think he will give him trouble.

what's your opposing logic to turning down a career high payday and ward saying he didn't earn it then going and trying to fight dmitri sartison?

I doubt that he's signed with Golden Boy and i'v seen DLH ringside for his recent fights.
