Bottom line. Kovalev is the best fighter in the world right now.

I think the fight was stopped a tad bit to early but it was too much time for Pascal to fully recover. The fight kinda went as expected but still Kovalev impressed me tonight. Pascal was not there to get KO'd. He put up a good effort but still got stopped.

Ward might have the answer but I want to see how he looks after he returns before baptizing him over all the fighters at 168 to 175. Ward is not getting any younger and his prime is being wasted in his literal "retirement" of the last couple years. I hope he can perform at the same level.

How does that even make sense? Clean and flush are clean and flush. If you hit somethin on the way to hitting the head, that is not flush. The first punch was clean, damaging. Second one wasn't clean, didn't have near the damage.

Actually Ward won't go near him.

He's fighting a tune up again. So let's not give him fantasy wins please

Good stoppage. Pascal was clearly out on his feet and kovalev hit him with two big right hands. Pascal would have been ko'ed cold and in need of serious medical attention had the ref let it go on longer.

This was a more dominating win given the opposition than some of the most well known p4p guys have produced.

It's all about reputation. When was the last time Floyd, Ward, or Pac had a quality (top 3 in division) opponent in ***** street for entire rounds?

Not saying Kovalev is better, but people need to get perspective.

You don't understand definitions. Flush means the punch was not grazing. It did not partially land, it landed. Not up for debate.

                    Very entertaining fight!

Kovalev had Pascal in trouble early on but Pascal showed that he was there to fight.

Algieri was top 3 Ring but I take your point.

It is all about reputation, if Kovalev was American or British the hype would be through the roof.

He'd probably be a star in Russia but they never get to see him.
