Its not uncommon at all to see a guy go down again like that again and get up and be fine.
The 2nd punch wasn't devastating, he wasn't taking a beating, so you can't say oh it was just time to save him from himself.
The 1st knockdown wasn't particularly devastating where he struggled to get up. He was aware of what what happening immediately, and it appeared to just be an equilibrium shot, which effects your balance more than actually hurting you. Soo, its not surprising that he went down again.
There is no way that stoppage was justified. It was clearly Caiz being paid to protect Berto, and prevent him from taking any damage. From the looks of how fast he jumped in, Caiz would have jumped in to stop it even if Lopez didn't go down from the punch.
Actually watching it, Caiz was running in waiving his hands before Lopez hands even touched the canvas.
Really disgusting.
horrible stoppage...blatant pay off...at least freekin count...the guy that Porter whooped on was in worse shape and he at LEAST got a count

Really conspiracy theories about Berto beating Lopez are you guys joking. Haymon doesn't care who wins he has stake in both fighters it's win win for him regardless.
Thought the stoppage was a tad early but it looked like the ref was on the verge of calling it regardless after the first KO and it only took 1 punch to drop Lopez again it is what it is.
I gave the first 3 rounds to Lopez clearly ,but after that the tides were turning. Good win for Berto.
I'd like to see him get Guererro or Ortiz next

Terrible stoppage. People keep saying Lopez was done because he waited until the count of 9 to get up on the first knockdown. YOU'RE ALLOWED TO TAKE 9 SECONDS! Why not take it? And the second knockdown was pretty much Lopez taking a knee. Lopez probably would have took all 9 seconds again and been good to go.
I think Lopez was up 50-45 through five rounds, if he survived the 6th which would have been a 10-7 round for Berto, my score would have been 57-55 Lopez through six rounds. The fans were robbed of a potentially great second half of action all because Haymon wants to build up certain fighters.
Feed Josesito Lopez to Sammy Vasquez Jr. and feed Andre Berto to Robert Guerrero or Marcos Maidana, both of whom deserve a piece of cake.

Berto gets outskilled by a c level fighter,is behind all three cards, and gets a helping hand from the ref, against a fighter who gets knocked down, but almost always gets back up no problem, but all the haymon supporters can come up with is "he still got the win doe".

bad bad stoppage
Berto did what he had to do. It was very efficient rinse repeat 1-2, Lopez was landing open hand hook combo's , allot of flash, no substance.
