Tonight’s fight between Sergey Kovalev and Jean Pascal is for three of the major world titles at light heavyweight. Under the rules of one of them, the International Boxing Federation, boxers must have a second weigh-in, this one on the morning of the fight, and cannot come in any more than 10 pounds above the division’s weight limit.
Both Kovalev and Pascal did just that.
Kovalev, who was at 174 pounds on Friday afternoon, was comfortably under the 185-pound line on Saturday morning, checking in at 183.6 pounds, according to promoter Main Events.
