Please! Chris Algeri possessed no punching power whatsoever, meaning anyone fighting him can work with minimal risk of getting hurt, no matter how they advance on him. Second, Algeri had zero experience of fighting at Manny's level. None, nada, zilch! Third, it was his first time at a higher weight class.
Mayweather is comfortable at the weight and has ventured above 147lbs. His experience at championship level to Algeri's is like a tepee to the Empire State Building in terms of magnitude. Also Mayweather hits deceptively hard. Nowhere near concussive but hard enough to give an opponent pause and make them think before attacking. Also, Algeri may have had physical dimension on Pacquiao, and movement, but zero ability to control range and couldn't counter a kiss if it was blown in his direction. The comparison is ridiculous and I understand that it makes some diehards feel warm and fuzzy inside but it makes no sense and is pretty embarrassing.
See. You are one of those fanboys who one cannot logic with. I understand. Enjoy the upset come May 2nd. Chris Algeri has a lot of potential. Anyone with eyes can see that. He's a C Level fighter who is hard to fight right now. Imagine if he gets the right trainer. He is going to be a serious problem. I bet you Floyd wouldn't even fight him right now if he had a belt! Let alone Tim Bradley who has been calling Floyd out. Smh. The faith you guys have is unrealistic and isn't backed with a brain or logic. You are set in your ways to believe what you want. GOOD. Stay that way man.Comment

I would be one of those doing this! What makes this fight intriguing, oh irony sweet irony, is that Floyd has definiely lost a step....The floyd of a few years back doesn't get touched by Madianna, and not by Pac either.Comment

You don't know what I believe, but assume because I think beating Chris Algeri is totally irrelevant to a result against Mayweather, I'm a "fanboy". If anyone is set in their ways, it's you. You believe Manny Pacquiao will win and that's fine with me. But I'd listen to your reasoning and tell you what I agree with and disagree with, and more importantly why. Try doing the same.Comment

And what made him eligible to fight Manny form among all the other top fighters with more experience above him that Manny could've faced?
Who did he fight before Manny?
Getting knocked down 3 times in that fight proved he was way in over his head and should've prepared against other opponents before facing Manny.Comment
