    Way over your head.......

My original post went way over your head. My point is, that Manny impressed me with every win of his comeback since the Roidquez fight. Everyone of those fights required extreme focus and skill. In the Rios fight, he showed you he was still hungry, still fast as hell, still had the legs and stamina. His ring IQ also improved. It is not an easy task to still be fighting at this level when you're already a LEGEND. At age 36 and facing different styles in the process. That is a challenge within itself. Has Floyd ever fought a style like Bradley? Algeri? Get my point? It's not about their level, per say. It's about their respective styles. Floyd would never fight either one of them.

All I can say is that the fact Floyd cries about headbutts, bitten in the hand (through the gloves), and lips being cut during the fight, how do you think Floyd would handle it if Pac peppers his face with punches???

It didn't go over my head, I'm just not as easily impressed as you, I guess. The very fact that you resort to petty "roidquez" remarks because Pacquiao got laid out like a cheap rug shows me that you're bitter and can't give great fighters credit when they achieve something- if it's against your favourite fighter. Marquez has passed every test Pacquiao has and is innocent until proven otherwise- like Pacquiao.

Second, it's easy to face "different styles" when the exponent of that style is just nowhere on the same level as you. If Mayweather was picking around the 140lbs division for different styles, I'd say he'd be (rightly) castigated for it. I'd be at the front of the queue. Has Mayweather ever fought a style like Bradley? Well what style is Bradley? He's done the hard pressing, aggressive style against Witter and Alexander. He's done some box and move, like against Pac and Marquez and he's tried to go toe-to-toe (and got concussed for his trouble) against Provodnikov. Mayweather's faced fighters that have tried to box with him (Judah/Canelo), tried to press him (Maidana/Guerrero) and tried to "outshoot him" (Mosley). Bradley is a really good fighter, but whatever he brings, Mayweather's seen before.

Chris Algeri really is a non-entity for all the reasons I've previously mentioned. I wonder how impressive Pacquiao would've been had he faced ALL opponents from the 147lbs and 154lbs division? We know he wouldn't face Cotto at 154lbs, would go nowhere near Canelo and wouldn't treat Maidana with the same contempt as Chris Algeri (although I think Pacqiuiao would do a number on him). Styles make fights, but levels of opponents can, and often do, dictate performance.
