Marquez was down multiple times in the first Pacman fight. If the ref stops the fight then we don't get 3 more fights and fans would of been robbed of one the greatest rivalries in boxing history.

The stoppage was bad. And its a shame, the ref ruined a perfectly good fight.

Would Lopez had been stopped in that round? Quite possibly but you have to give him a chance. I call for a rematch.

You have to give these fighters a chance. We had literally just seen a fight where a guy was wobbling around the ring for half a round after he was viciously dropped, and he lasted the rest of the fight. Lopez should have been given a count at least. A quick trigger on the stoppage just leaves everyone with a bad taste in their mouth.

Exactly, it was only a matter of time before the inevitable happen. I'm pretty sure everyone knew once Berto caught up to Lopez the fight was going to be over soon.

It was early, but he looked done to me.

Strange fight. Berto looked dreadful, but is probably in line for a big hitter now.

Yep. It was a good stoppage, the look on Lopez's face , the look in his eyes, his body language and demeanor said he was done.

I understand lopez's disappointment in himself not being 100% but it is what it is, take it and move forward I guess.

These two guys get hit too often and too easy..., Berto vs Ortiz 2 can be as good as the first time.

You don't get up and 9 then go right back down, even if the ref allows the fight to go on exactly how much leash does Lopez have. I know people like to dog Berto but dude can crack and Lopez was essentially defenseless, how long do you think it was going to be until Betro landed alright and the fight was waved off, one punch from Berto on a guy that is done (especially a vet that has been beat up as much as Lopez) can be dangerous.

It was on the line, to me on the line is a fair ball but I can understand giving the guy the last shot.
