The double standard is sickening, cotto just got to the weight, a bunch of people question his win against martinez and wanna see cotto fight the biggest baddest dude in the division. No cotto cant get a fight or two under his belt before fighting GGG but its ok for GGG to pick on fringe contenders. You and the rest of these guys defending GGGs next fight would be the same guys bashing Cotto if he would have chosen this guy.

Cotto won the LINEAL MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE. All I want to see is him defend it against a MIDDLEWEIGHT in his voluntary defense with the winner meeting GGG as has been mandated by the WBC. If Cotto was not ready to compete at the weight, he never should have gone for the title in the first place. He did so now he has to defend it. AGAINST A MIDDLEWEIGHT, ANY MIDDLEWEIGHT!!!!!

Lemiuex and N'Dam are fighting for the IBF belt. It has been agreed to by both sides. GYM is filing a lawsuit against Lemieux and GoldenBoy as well. Who knows when that fight will happen? Both of theose guys are busy.
Saunders is fighting in April and waiting on the Lee v Quillin winner.
Got any other suggestions? lol

LOL the fight between Lemeiux and N'Dam is still in a to be announced status, Saunders took step aside money for Lee to fight Quillen, he has no fight lined up. If you really think that Lemeiux and N'Dam's fight cant be broken for one of them to fight GGG then you sir know little to nothing about boxing.

Saunders signed a deal to take step aside $ and fight on April 18th on the same card as Lee vs Kid Undercard and then will fight the winner. That's why he didn't fight N'Dam for the IBF.
Lemieux agreed to fight N'Dam but there is still no date set. I'd imagine that GYM filing a lawsuit against GBP and Lemieux could have something to do with no date yet.
If Gary Hyde wants to put N'Dam(who skipped purse bids and dumped a belt to avoid GGG before) in with GGG rather than wait on Lemieux, then that's on him and the IBF to get it done.

Cotto won a title.What's the issue with not fighting other belt holders?

GGG was fighting low level opponents before Cotto and he is still Fighting them after Cotto so that tells us alot about the GGG "plan". Reality is what it is, its ridiculous to expect Cotto to fight GGG so soon, after having only one fight at middleweight. GGG has been at the weight his entire career and his biggest achievement is Martin Murray so lets keep this in perspective.

I have been saying this since Cotto won the WBC title. Cotto will fight two more times before fighting GGG maybe early next year if Cotto defends the title successfully. I would like to see Cotto fight Lemeiux because he and GGG are very similar in size punching power and fighting style (obviously GGG is better). I would hope the Canelo fight gets made next, if it doesnt I could see Cotto going back down to Jr Middleweight for one fight then going back up to fight GGG after.

I am in absolute agreement, except like I said, GGG right now is not realistic, I want to see a good fight if Cotto fights somebody like Lemeiux and does really well we may get a better fight between him and GGG.
