After watching some replays of a younger Floyd, even the one that faced Marquez, you'd see that every time he'd get backed into the ropes,he'd immediately use his legs, and move out of there. Look at the cotto, canelo, and maidana fights. I highly doubt that he "chose" to stay in the pocket, and exchange, just to please the fans. I really think that he knows that his legs won't hold up for 12 rounds of movement, so he relies on taking a break and counterpunching off the ropes,so he can rest his legs. Now I'm not saying that its going to be target practice, but if maidana could clip Floyd, while throwing one or 2 slow punches at a time, I really think that Manny will be able to land on him, when he starts throwing 5-8 punch combinations, from awkward angles.
Uh....if I'm not mistaken, vs Canelo his dad told him to stay in the pocket in his shell and counter because he felt Floyd was too tight or something. But if u wanna believe Roach be my guess. He has slowed but he also has more than Roach thinks.

Barrera lost to Junior Jones, Morales lost to Barrera...how far do you want to take that line of argument

Lol...ofcourse he doesn't care about the fans, common sense. If he did, this fight would've happened 6 years ago. For 6 years...this mofo got away with ridiculous excuses and alibis. May 2nd, the cancer to the sport of boxing will be 47-1. And people around the world especially the true boxing fans will say "Thank You Manny!"

After that loss to Jones Barrera had 5 ko wins in a row and a nc before his fight with morales.... years are more than enough time to recover from a loss

Morales and Barrera had close fights...that's a lot different than getting battered and stopped...psychological damage as well as physical

Morales had tough fights but won most...beat PAC...lost to raheem at lightweight and they refused morales to fight above 130 in the rematch n he was having weight problems which Is y he fougt at lightweight

So I'll ask again... When was the last time pacquaio beat a top fighter coming off a huge win and not tough fights or losses?

Agree Mayweather doesn't care about the fans he's only concern is his health and money. It is good for boxing if Manny beat Floyd.

of course his legs are not as fresh..the guy is pushing 40. thats not really an insult. but floyd is more than just legs, his accuracy, timing and ring IQ is still unmatched.
