Freddie's wrong. I don't think Floyd's legs are gone. He chooses to fight how he wants. When he figures things are not working out, he alters the plan. Quite likely he was trying to roll with Maidana's punches hoping he'd punch himself out, like he's used to. Then easy pickings.

I honestly think Floyd is going to come out aggressive like he did against Ortiz, not because his legs are shot but because thats what a orthodox fighter has to do against an aggressive southpaw (like Manny) plus Floyd has to establish that he is the bigger man, Manny has no fear in the ring so Floyd needs to earn respect right away also. I can see the fight looking like Mayweather vs Corley except at a quicker pace until Mayweather slows it down like he did against, Mosley, Corley, & Judah.

However I think that Floyd is enough professional and mentally strong to be able to come in top shape both phisically and pshycologically the day of the fight... I don't think that all the hype of these years will be a factor when they are in the ring...only the "boxing" software in their brain will play at that moment and nothing else.
Good point. I agree when you are in that squared box, you only think about the guy infront of you. Everything else disappears.......just in this case I feel its pressure to the point where in between rounds of the fight when Floyd sits on his stool, he will be thinking.....not going to lose, conserve my 0, got to prove them wrong. One thing for sure. Its going to be the longest ring walk of Floyd's career. He will be thinking of his gameplan again and again and again until he enters that ring. This will be the best Mayweather we will have seen in years. As will be Pac. So many intangibles. Cannot wait.

history has shown, Manny has a hard time avoiding right hands, and he needs to address that. Wasnt that what people were saying before the last maidana fight? then immediately afterwards they say he "ran"? And last week that was roach saying floyd would "run". People forget, this is the biggest fight for both trainers and you know Roach is gonna try and get his camera and press time. So next week he'll be back to saying floyd is gonna run, or is it time yet for his KO prediction. He's just trying to get his camera time. Considering that manny hasnt had any ko's in 5yrs, maybe he doesnt have the power anymore (theres drug testing for this fight) and floyd usually tries to come right back after someone tags him, Floyd by ko 7 and world wide acclaim as TBE. (REMEMBER MANNY IS THE LAST HOPE OF ANYONE NEAR FLOYDS WEIGHT OF HAVING A CHANCE OF BEATING HIM (ACCORDING TO THE FANS) Tards are gonna be soooo maaaaddddddd.

I don't think so. Floyd doesn't want to take unnecessary risks. If he could have avoided some of those shots from Maidana, including that one at the end of round 3, he would have.

wrong, he could have avoided all those maidana shots but because of the fans he stood there and took them like a man, he loves the fan so much he let maidana hit him instead of running and clinching like isaac said.

After watching some replays of a younger Floyd, even the one that faced Marquez, you'd see that every time he'd get backed into the ropes,he'd immediately use his legs, and move out of there. Look at the cotto, canelo, and maidana fights. I highly doubt that he "chose" to stay in the pocket, and exchange, just to please the fans. I really think that he knows that his legs won't hold up for 12 rounds of movement, so he relies on taking a break and counterpunching off the ropes,so he can rest his legs. Now I'm not saying that its going to be target practice, but if maidana could clip Floyd, while throwing one or 2 slow punches at a time, I really think that Manny will be able to land on him, when he starts throwing 5-8 punch combinations, from awkward angles.
Marquez is a mid range fighter, he isn't on top of you the way Canelo, Cotto and Maidana are. That made it easier for Mayweather to fight off the ropes against those guys as opposed to Marquez, the only time he looked uncomfortable was against Maidana at times and that's because Maidana would wrap his right arm around Mayweather and keep him cornered, all while working his free hand. Thing is, Maidana accomplished that with a jab and an overhand right with an arch that can get around Mayweather's shoulder.

I'll never understand how basic stuff like that escapes people. His legs are slowing, that I won't deny but Pacquiao isn't gonna make Mayweather as uncomfortable as Maidana did. Pacquiao doesn't have the jab, physical strength, bit of inside fighting; dirtiness or even power to replicate what Maidana did.

Mayweather thrives on pressure. And if you think there is no pressure one Pac you are delusional. There is complete Pac mania in the Philippines. This is one of the biggest events in the history of the country and everyone is expecting him to win. Pac has the weight of an entire country on him.

Thats a ridculous statement Mayweather will never give someone a free shot he doesnt care about the fans his fights are always a snooze fest unless the other guy gets away with roughing him up on the inside.
