Dirrell should have 2 wide decisions on his resume vs. the #1 and #2 universally SMWs right now. But he was robbed vs. Froch and then he had the Abraham nightmare

DeGale on the other hand is coming off his 2 best wins which featured early stoppages. Dirrell would have had no problem with either of DeGale's last 2 opponents. Plus Dirrell would have never lost to the mediocre George Groves.

I've got Dirrell via an 8-4 type decision. Anybody reliable want to wager 5 quad?

“It went to purse bids, that means any promotional company can bid for it,” he told Sky Sports. “Eddie Hearn sadly lost the bid, so it looks like I am going to have to go to America now to fight for a world title.

Dirrell should really be undefeated with a flawless record. I don't see Degale beating him when he got outboxed by some George Groves. Plus Dirrell is a switch hitter and equal in both hands.

Anyone saying Dirrell was robbed vs. Froch doesn't know **** about boxing. You run all night, maybe land few jabs and you should get a decision in a title fight? Sure...

You must've missed the shot that stiffened Froch's legs up nicely... Froch was swinging at fresh air all fight and walking into some neat traps... Even Froch knew he got serious home cooking there

Oh well, that's what happens when you don't have many fans, your promoter won't back you financially to get home advantage... Hearn loves chucking 'em to the wolves!

I predict a wide UD win for Dirrell unfortunately.

The Froch and Abraham fights were not really alike.

Dirrel boxed nice in a couple of rounds against Froch but was an embarrassment for most of the fight with the constant hugging and diving to the canvas - even though I think he probably should have just nicked the decision.

He was tremendous in the Abraham fight and completely dominated it until he started to lose his composure in the later rounds.

That's Dirrell for you. I'm a fan but he's great at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I am actually looking forward to this fight.

I thin Dirrell will have too much for Degale.

Degale has looked better recently, but his level of opposition has been disappointing overall.

I can see Degale starting well, but Dirrell stealing the championship rounds for a UD.

Did Hearn underestimate how much Haymon was going to bid? Seems like it would've made long-term sense and been worth the extra cost to have bid above 3.1M.

Hearn bid something like 2.1 million which he thought would win, he has already stated that they couldn't believe how much the other bid was, neither could James DeGale, DeGale said he was disappointed when he heard Eddie hadnt won then he told him how much his purse would be and he said he didn't care anymore.

DeGale to win for me, 8 rounds to 4. He isn't the same fighter who fought Groves!
