You remember wrong. Add 100,000 buys to that.

Look, the usual suspects that **** on any foreign and/or white fighter are all in a tiff because Maskaev won an eliminator and has a title shot. But none of them said a word when Rahman was thrust into the top slot by beating a bunch of journeymen and Kali Meehan. Meehan was stopped in 1 by Williams. Williams was stopped in 6 by Samil Sam. Maskaev just handily beat Samil Sam in the eliminator. He also holds a vicious KO over Rahman. Maskaev has been around forever, never quit, and has worked his way back into the rankings and won an eliminator. I say, stop bitching and let him have his shot. He's not going to go anywhere, although he may be able to beat Rahman. Maskaev will NEVER be able to beat Wlad, Peter, Brock, etc. Hell, even Briggs would stop Maskaev.

Look at it like this. Rahman has unfinished business with Maskaev, and has the WBC title, which was basically given to him. So let him do his thing. If he can't, then Maskaev isn't going to hide and squat on his title like Byrd, he's a fighter. He'll go right out and lose it to another titlist and we'll be that much closer to unifying the titles.

I don't really see the problem. Most of the other top contenders either have titles, or title shots, or are working their way back up from losses. Maskaev has been on a win streak, has a devastating win over Rahman, so let em go at it and relax. Where is the problem, really?

Your point? Johnson and Whitake aren't in the HW picture. Maskaev and Rahman are.

            Try again.

Even though I dont think Maskaev is worthy, WHO IS???? Ive been tryin to think and I cant think of anyone who has ACTUALLY done anything to get to fight the champ. Is there someone more worthy??? Im afraid that the competition out there is just that BAD, sad to say. Kirk Johnson lost his last fight, MCCLine won his last two... BIGTIME maybe?? Calvin Brock?? Danny Williams? I would say maybe Monte Barret but he lost to Rahman.

Brock will emerge as the top new HW contender if he beats T.Ibragimov. I haven't seen Timor fight, but if he's anything like his brother, then it'll be a respectable victory. Brock should be looking at a title shot later this year if he can beat Timor.

On the other hand, if Timor happens to win, then you might have another brother duo in the HW division to send Bozo and Bloodshed into total hysteria.

                      That is correct sir.

That's why I was calling people out earlier. Like I stated....you'd be extremely hard pressed to find a guy more suitable for the mandatory title.

I think alot of people saw "Maskaev" and automatically wrote him off based on his unimpressive knockout losses + age.
