Entourage is USELESS to be honest but I would at least have him walk down with his Trainer
They want it to be 100% About the Fighters though so While it looks weird I can live with it. Fans usually b1tch about Sam Watson and his sons always being in the ring for no reason. When they get rid of them now everybody wants the entourages back

I mean I don't think they would deny Bieber walking down w/ Floyd if they were on PBC

Let's break it down........
Good night of fights overall. Americans like to find fault in any and everything. All of these negative over the top comments are unnecessary. This was the first show on NBC in over 30yrs. Why hasn't anything mentioned this fact? Smh. I am excited we have boxing back on primetime television. What you have to understand, is that this is "regular" television. Boxing is an uncensored sport so they have to adjust to that format. Understand? No profanity. No explicit music. The fighter's have to behave a certain way because little kids and future boxing fans are watching their every move. Al Haymon is trying to showcase a classier approach and viewing experience for the fans. It's the alternative to what we see on cable television, so give it a chance. I think that fighter's should be allowed to enter to their own music, but it has to be CLEAN. I like the no entourage approach. I liked Layla Ali's reporting from the corners. I also liked SRL's commentating. He's very intelligent and says the right things about what is happening in the ring. For instance, he saw an opening for a left hook to the body and then to the head, during the Broner/Molina fight. He wanted Broner to try that combination. Let's give the PBC some time before we shoot down their attempt at a classier broadcast and viewing of the sport we love. And remember, in most cases, change is good.

It was a crap show honestly. Thurman-Guerrero was good, everything else was unnecessary. The cheesy over-production, crappy replay with the "new" low res cameras with too many commentators sounding like robots. You don't need all of the excess crap, the fights should speak for themselves. The way they have to repeat "boxing is back on network tv" is like they're trying to have to convince people it's good rather than letting the even speak for itself.

Y'know what the show did? It made me fucking HATE Corona. It's like that was the only commercial playing.

Boxing is built on characters and personalities... It's the number one factor if people will watch... Does a potential audience know your name or can you be memorable enough... People watch fighters they know, watch teams they know, etc..
Especially casual fans... I for instance am a longtime mma fan but consider myself casual, but I will tune in or even watch 2nd rate late night cable mma if there is a name fighter I recognize from pride or ufc, like Melvin manhoef..
You can't hold back guys like broner.. The sport needs him to be loud and bold
WAR FURY!!

It's not like we really like entourages but it's just more what we are use to. I hated coming out solo. Felt cheap and kind of like an entrance in a ****** show like American Gladiator or something.
Love SRL but he was terrible as color commentator. I use to like Marv Albert but he was just "ok". Maybe he's too old now. Ali's daughter, slow and monotone voice, drove me crazy.
Worst of all was John Molina, who should never be on television again after that turd.
Actually worse of all was all the commercials. I like seeing replays and the corner action between rounds. I like big name fights but I'd rather psy for Showtime and HBO than network TV.Last edited by Mick6; 03-08-2015, 01:50 PM.
